The 'Can You Keep a Secret?' actor speaks up after the 'Gimme More' songstress faces backlash for sharing some since-deleted racy snaps on Thursday, December 15.

AceShowbiz - Sam Asghari has addressed backlash over Britney Spears' NSFW pictures on Instagram. Though he defended his wife for sharing nude pics on the platform, the "Can You Keep a Secret?" actor admitted he would "prefer" that his wife never posted the images.

Sam spoke up after Britney shared some since-deleted racy snaps on Thursday, December 15. Having caught wind of the criticism, the fitness trainer penned on Instagram Story, "The only person in the world that gets bullied for posting things like this. I personally preferred she never posted these but who am I to control someone that's been under a microscope and been controlled for most of her life."

This was not the first time Sam defended Britney for sharing raunchy posts on Instagram. Back in August, he wrote, "To clarify my wife has never posted a nude selfie except of her butt which is quite modest these days. All other posts were implied nudity which can be seen in any ad for lotion or soap."

Earlier this year, one of Britney's sons Jayden, whom she shares with ex Kevin Federline, alleged that the singer was "trying to get attention" with the nude posts and hoped that she would eventually stop. He said, "It's like almost as if she must put something on Instagram to get attention. This has gone on for years and years and years, and there's a high chance that this is never going to really stop, but I'm hoping for me, maybe she will."

Though Britney still presses on the habit, a source told Hollywood Life in November that she decided to stop posting nudes to mend her relationship with her sons Jayden and Preston. "Britney is now making a concerted effort to repair the relationship with her sons," the insider said.

"She has refrained from posting what her friends call 'racy' photos and videos on her Instagram for two weeks," the source further claimed. "Although those around Britney think it is wonderful that she is so proud of her body, they also were able to make her see why this may be inappropriate for her boys, who only want the best for her."
