The 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' actor doesn't let a hater ruin his 'Spirited' co-star's day as he fires back at a critic who interrupts his speech about his pal.

AceShowbiz - Octavia Spencer has apparently made the right decision to have Will Ferrell as one of the guests at her Walk of Fame ceremony. The comedian expertly shut down a heckler who criticized the event as the actress was honored with her own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

During the Thursday, December 8 event in downtown Los Angeles, Will delivered a speech about his pal, who starred along with him, Ryan Reynolds and Sunita Mani in Apple TV+'s movie "Spirited". As he praised his co-star, someone interrupted his speech by yelling loudly that the event was "celebrating rich people."

The "Daddy's Home" star was quick to step in and protect his friend as he declared, "Not on Octavia's day!" Not losing his sense of humor, he added, "Keep it moving. Keep it moving. The wax museum's down there. That thing is wide open."

As the persistent man kept trying to have his voice be heard, Will joked, "He's got powerful lungs. He's using his diaphragm. Louder, please. They can't hear you in Alhambra. Is that guy up next? Is he supposed to speak? Sweatpants weirdo, is he up here? Should I just go tackle him?"

On a serious note, Will said that Octavia is "literally the best and no one is more deserving of this star" before Octavia's "The Help" co-star Allison Janney was up next to pay tribute to that day's honoree. The Academy Award winner got emotional throughout the ceremony as she was seen wiping tears from her eyes several times.

Following the ceremony, Octavia raved about Will on "PEOPLE Every Day" podcast. Stopping by the show on Friday, the 52-year-old said, "I can tell you that Will is definitely not an adult elf," referring to his role in the hit Christmas comedy film "Elf" (2003).

And while the "Saturday Night Live" alum often plays the buffoon and idiot, who's the butt of a joke in many of his films, Octavia went on to call Will "one of the smartest people I've ever worked with."
