The 'Say It' emcee is clearly happy after his tracing anklet he has been wearing since October 31 finally gets removed as the trial of Megan Thee Stallion shooting starts.

AceShowbiz - Tory Lanez is definitely happy when he officially gets his freedom back. The "Say It" rapper, who was put on house arrest on October 31, bursts out laughing when his ankle monitor is taken off as the jury selection in the trial of the alleged shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion starts.

The 30-year-old hip-hop star went to Instagram Live on Monday, December 5 to show his fans that he's getting his ankle monitor removed. "Today is the day! Get it out of here," he could be heard saying happily while documenting the removal process. After the staff removed the tracing anklet, he laughed so hard.

Tory was seen arriving at a court in Los Angeles wearing a checkered suit with matching pants as well as a black turtleneck top. To complete his outfit, the "Take Control" spitter added a pair of black shoes and edgy sunglasses.

During the Monday court appearance, George G. Mgdesyan, one of Tory's lawyers, told the judge that Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner's boyfriend Corey Gamble are on his list of possible defense witnesses because "they were present at Kylie's pool party" before the July 2020 shooting. "The argument, everything started there," George said.

The trial was set to kick off in September but was ultimately pushed back after Tory asked a judge to delay the start date due to his defense lawyer Shawn Holley being preoccupied with other trials. Speaking to TMZ in September after Judge David Herriford granted a request for delay, Tory said that he's "chilling."

Tory is accused of firing a gun in the direction of Megan, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, at a home in the Hollywood Hills at about 4:30 A.M. on July 12, 2020. He faces a maximum sentence of around 23 years if convicted in the case.

Detective Ryan Stogner of the LAPD said in a December 2021 hearing Megan told him that Tory yelled, "Dance, b***h," prior to discharging his firearm in the incident. Tory, however, insisted that the claim was "false story."

Then in October this year, Tory explained why he wants to remain silent about the incident. "I am in an open case and maybe I make this s**t look really beautiful, but I am facing 24 years, I'm making s**t look beautiful, don't I? But guys, I am actively facing 24 years," the emcee told DJ Akademiks during an interview for "Off the Record" podcast. "Like this is no play play situation. I've been in this for three years. I've never played internet games with you guys. I'm not gonna start now."
