The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum's attorney clarifies that the original divorce petition, which cited adultery as the reason of their split, was incorrect.

AceShowbiz - Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill want no drama as they're officially ending their marriage. The former spouses have set things straight that infidelity had nothing to do with their decision to call it quits despite new court documents saying so.
On Thursday, December 1, Cynthia filed a divorce petition in Fulton County, Ga. Court, claiming that "Petitioner [Bailey] is entitled to a divorce from the Respondent [Hill] due to inappropriate adulterous relations and moral ethics in his conduct."
However, Cynthia has since retracted the cheating allegations against her ex-husband. Her attorney Daniel R. Meachum said in a statement that there was an "error" in the original petition for divorce and that will be fixed.
"The initial divorce filing between Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill, which included inappropriate adulterous relations, was incorrect," Daniel clarified. "The sole reason for the pending divorce is due to only irreconcilable differences. An amended petition is being filed immediately to correct that allegation by the legal representation of Meachum and Associates."
Cynthia also assured that there's no bad blood between her and Mike despite their split. "We are and always will be friends and wish each other well," she told TMZ.
Mike has also responded to the cheating allegations, saying, "I have love and respect for Cynthia. I always have and always will." He told Page Six, "As you heard in her own words, there was never at any time in our marriage any inappropriate adulterous relations. Our marriage didn’t work but we still remain the best of friends."
Cynthia and Mike indeed settled their divorce without a fuss. The divorce agreement, which was signed off by a judge on Thursday, mentioned that they had two separate homes, which each will keep. The former couple didn't have any kids together and they've agreed neither will pay spousal support.
It made everything easier that they never intermingled their finances, taxes or property during their 2 years together. Mike reportedly didn't even retain a lawyer for the divorce process. The sportscaster actually signed the divorce agreement first, on October 20, and Cynthia signed on November 1.
Cynthia and Mike confirmed their split in October, after two years of marriage. "LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways. No one is to blame, and we are grateful that we remain good friends," they said in a joint statement at the time.
"We will always cherish the many memories we've shared together as husband and wife. Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and we appreciate our family, friends and beloved fans for your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters," they added. "Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"
