AceShowbiz - Season 8 of "The Masked Singer" concluded in the Wednesday, November 30 episode. The season finale featured the remaining contestants, Harp and Lambs, hitting the stage for the last time to vie for the title of the hit FOX show's season 8 winner.
Following an hour of season recap, it was time for the real show. The finale saw Harp and Lambs performing in two rounds. They sang a song that had a personal meaning for them in the first round before they took the stage to belt out a pop classic.
Harp performed first. She chose Lady GaGa's "The Edge of Glory" as the song with personal meaning and panelist Jenny McCarthy noted that it was the best performance on the show ever. Ken Jeong believed that Harp was Jennifer Hudson, while Robin Thicke guessed Yvette Nicole Brown. Nicole Scherzinger named Amber Riley, with Jenny mentioning Jordin Sparks.
Lambs followed it up with a performance of "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan that they chose as the song which had a personal meaning. Ken made a wild guess by saying that the Lambs could be the Kardashians. Robin guessed Wilson Phillips considering the Pet Sounds clue. Nicole thought they were The Chicks or Wilson Phillips.
For their pop classic performance, Lambs opted for Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is". In the video package, they said that they discovered their "unique sound" as little girls. They showcased an amazing, perfect harmony, convincing Jenny that they would be the winner. "We would be so honored," the Lambs responded.
Harp later took the stage to sing "Gravity" by John Mayer. It was another show-stopping performance by Harp with Robin calling it "hands down one of the best songs we've ever heard on this stage." Harp got emotional over the praises as she began crying. "It means a lot to be validated. I've been through a lot in this industry," she shared.
It was time to reveal the winner. The singer who received Golden Masked Trophy this season was Harp!
As the runner-up, Lambs got unmasked first. Before that, the panelists made their final guesses. Jenny named The Chicks, Ken still believed they were Kardashians, while Robin and Nicole guessed Wilson Phillips. Lambs were revealed to be Wilson Phillips!
It was later time for Harp to reveal her real identity. For the last guesses, Robin said she could be Yvette Nicole Brown. Jenny went with Jordin Sparks, Ken mentioned Jennifer Hudson, while Nicole believed Harp was Amber Riley. Nicole once again guessed correctly because Harp was Amber Riley! The winner sang Lizzo's "About Damn Time" in a celebratory performance.
