AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40 and Too Short gave fans a special treat on Thanksgiving weekend. On Friday, November 25, the Mount Westmore members unveiled their second single "Free Game" along with its visuals.
In the music video, the four rappers star as robbers who carry out a perfect heist. After successfully stealing money from a place somewhere in Los Angeles, California, the musicians do not waste time escaping from the police.
Snoop, Ice Cube, E-40 and Too $hort, however, manage to end the chase. After making a stop in a quiet place, a group of people approaches the hip-hop stars and they eventually make it rain while delivering their verses.
"Free Game" appears on the rap supergroup's debut album, "Bad MFs". The project was dropped on June 7 exclusively on the Blockchain by Death Row Records and Gala Music as an NFT, but will be released on streaming services on December 9.
Of the reason why he and his bandmates dropped the album as an NFT, E-40 explained, "First of all, I want to say this. I know there's a lot of upset, die-hard fans of Mount Westmore…We released an album, NFT, you know, for the NFT space."
"But trust me, all platforms will get the album, plus more. Songs you've never heard, the whole woop-wap, so stay tuned we're working on it right now. We just wanted to try the NFT space out," he continued. "It wasn't for no money, we all got money. It wasn't about that. It's a new world, you gotta turn with the times before the times turn on you."
Of the supergroup, Snoo said in an interview with HotNewHipHop, "You bring the legends of the West Coast together, something great will always happen... Cube, 40, Short, and I have been running the game for years." He added, "This is the perfect time because each of us brings authentic and new ideas to the table... All four together? That's magic."
