AceShowbiz - Yung Bleu has finally addressed criticism surrounding his song "What Type of Games". Having received negative responses for sampling the late DMX's "How's It Goin' Down", the Mobile artist took to social media to offer his two cents.
"I understand that's such a great song and it will never be duplicated no Matter what by any artist ! Classic ! I'm paying homage!" the 28-year-old wrote on Twitter on Sunday, November 13. "and mainly bringing more income to his estate at that! that’s what matter to me long Live x we talked on the phone 2 weeks before his passing."
In another post, Bleu revealed, "He was gonna be on my song Ghetto Love Birds so this was my dedication after that !" The emcee, whose real name is Jeremy Biddle, added, "Anyways ! fly high og ! I hope it get a billion streams."
"How's It Goin' Down" is one of DMX's fifteen entries on the Billboard Hot 100. As for Blue's "What Type of Games", it opens with a snippet from the "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot" track. The latter is produced by Murda Beatz, Elyas, and Elias Stricken.
Aside from the three stars, the likes of French Montana, Fivio Foreign, Lucky Daye, Ne-Yo, Ty Dolla $ign and Zayn Malik appear on the album. The new record consists of 17 tracks in total, including previously-released singles "Love in the Way" and "Soul Child".
Excited about the album release, Bleu declared on Twitter, "They gone sleep on my album again like on moon boy but yet again it's gone produce some of the biggest songs of next year !" He further gushed, "Tonight we go up."
