Before spitting bars from his 2018 hit song, the 'Stop Breathing' rapper tells the crowd how he really felt when he woke up to the news of the late Migos member's tragic death.

AceShowbiz - Roddy Ricch is showing some love to Takeoff during his latest concert. The "Stop Breathing" hitmaker pays a heartfelt tribute to the fallen Migos member, who was shot and killed in Texas, with a "Die Young" performance.

Before performing his 2018 hit song, the 24-year-old told the audience how he really felt when he woke up to the news of Takeoff's tragic death. "I was in a hotel room last night. I went to sleep and I woke up and the first call I got was one of my friends," he said. "He go by the name of Takeoff. He lost his life last night." He later asked the crowd to "make some noise for Takeoff."

Roddy said that he "took that s**t really hard." He further elaborated, "Because you know in this industry, it's not a lot of people that we can come close to and really be friends with." He continued, "You know, it's not a lot of people that we can bring around our family or really deal with on that personal level."

"[Takeoff] was one of them guys. He was a real good guy, you know?" Roddy remembered the 28-year-old Atlanta rapper. He then told the audience, "So this next song, I made it in the beginning of my career and I never thought that, you know, I would be singing this for a lot of people that I knew but the sad reality of it is that I've had to sing this in tribute to a lot of the s**t that I've known."

In addition to Roddy, the entire hip-hop community was in shock after it's revealed that Takeoff was one of the victims who died during a triple-shooting that took place following a private party outside 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston on Tuesday, November 1. Takeoff was there with his Migos bandmate Quavo.

According to authorities, around 40 people were standing outside the venue when an altercation resulted in shots being fired by one or more suspects. Per Migos' label Quality Control Music, Takeoff was struck by a "stray bullet." He was pronounced dead on the scene by arriving paramedics.

While police are currently seeking help from the public to identify the perpetrator, it's recently unveiled that Quavo's assistant, Joshua Washington, has been identified as the second shooting victim.
