The crooner, whose real name is Jeremy Phillip Felton, recalled his near-death experience when speaking to Angela Yee in the Tuesday, October 25 episode of her 'Lip Service' podcast.

AceShowbiz - Jeremih has opened up about his weeks-long battle with COVID-19. The "Birthday Sex" singer, who contracted the deadly virus two years ago, claimed that he felt like his "organs kind of exploded" at the time.

The 35-year-old musician recalled his experience when speaking to Angela Yee in the Tuesday, October 25 episode of her "Lip Service" podcast. "I was down bad," he first said. "I had to learn how to walk again."

The crooner, whose real name is Jeremy Phillip Felton, further recounted, "I was in the bathroom and I just felt the room shaking." He continued, "Honestly, when I checked myself into the hospital, I don't remember nothing after that night."

"I was in there for a month and a half," the Chicago artist shared. "And they told me I had something called MIS, which is a multiple inflammatory syndrome, which all of my organs kind of exploded."

Jeremih has previously gotten candid about his near-death experience with COVID-19."What I can say is, man, it definitely is real," he explained when sitting down with Sway Calloway and Chance the Rapper in December 2020. "I didn't take it for granted."

"And truth be told, I'm a living, walking testimony. To let y'all know, I was really down bad for the last month and a half. While I was in there - you know, I don't even remember the day I went in," he elaborated. "That's how messed up I was."

He was unconscious most of the time and, when he was briefly awake, all he saw was a white light. "I had the tube down my throat for about a week and a half," he said. "I was really, like, in a dream, and I ain't gonna lie, I woke up about two times and all I remember is just seeing a white light."

"What I ended up having was called a [multisystem] inflammatory syndrome: MIS," he descrived. "All my organs became inflamed. My heart started beating irregularly, my kidneys went out, my liver started to go bad. Mind you, I didn't know what was going on at the time. I was out."
