Father of 17-Year-Old PnB Rock Murder Suspect Arrested in Las Vegas

Both Freddie Lee Trone and his teenage son have been charged with one count of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery for the killing of the 30-year-old rapper.

AceShowbiz - Another suspect in PnB Rock's murder has finally been apprehended. Freddie Lee Trone, who was a wanted man, was taken into police custody one day after his 17-year-old son was arrested for shooting the 30-year-old rapper.

On Thursday, September 29, TMZ reported that Freddie was arrested in Las Vegas. According to Los Angeles Police Department report, the 49-year-old man was taken into custody at around 1 P.M. with the help of the FBI Las Vegas Division, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Henderson Police Department. He will be booked in Las Vegas on his warrant pending extradition to Los Angeles, California.

Both Freddie and his teenage son have been charged with one count of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery.

On Wednesday, September 28, Freddie was the first person identified as being a suspect in the murder of PnB Rock, which occurred on September 12 during an attempted robbery inside Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles restaurant in Inglewood. Authorities believe Freddie drove the getaway car the assailant, his 17-year-old son, fled in after shooting the Philadelphia-born rapper, born Rakim Hasheem Allen, and taking his jewelry.

Two more arrests were made on Tuesday, September 27. Freddie's 17-year-old son was taken into custody in Lawndale, California and charged with being the actual triggerman. He faces one count each of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery as well as two counts of second-degree robbery. That same day, Shauntel Trone, the teen' stepmom, was taken into custody in Gardena, California, and charged with accessory to murder.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon commented on the killing and arrests on Thursday afternoon, saying, "The murder of Mr. Allen dimmed a bright light in the lives of his fans, friends and most importantly his family. The accused individuals' alleged actions in this case were heartless and cruel and robbed the world of Mr. Allen's talents."

"I thank the investigators who presented the case to my office," he added. "As we do every single day, we will work diligently to make sure that those responsible for taking the life of an innocent victim are held accountable."

The 17-year-old suspect made an appearance in juvenile court on Thursday. Moreover, the minor suspect is scheduled for another pre-trial hearing on October 19. This case is still under investigation.
