AceShowbiz - The first episode of "The Kardashians" season 2 has already sparked chatters among fans. Following the premiere on Thursday, September 22, some fans assumed that Kim Kardashian's tear during an emotional scene was actually edited via CGI.
In a video that went viral on Thursday, TikTok user Michelle Driscoll believed that the editors on the Hulu show gave a "fake tear" in a scene of Kim crying during a confessional. "Y'all please tell me you see this CGI tear on Kardashians," she wrote in the caption.
In the said scene, Kim broke down in tears over her wishes for sister Khloe Kardashian, who welcomed a baby boy via surrogate with ex Tristan Thompson, to find love. As she got emotional, the SKIMS founder was seen patting away her tears. However, when one single tear drop managed to fall, Kim did not wipe it away.
Of that particular thing, Michelle pointed out, "That's a fake tear. That's CGI. I'm not even kidding. That's a CGI tear." She and her friend added, "She doesn't touch it!" The video has garnered more than 2M views on the platform.
Fans had mixed reactions in the comments section. Some people agreed with the TikToker with one writing, "Omg I thought I was the only one that caught that." Another person commented, "I was like, 'Does she not feel that tear?' I'm confused lol."
"Glad I'm not the only one that saw that and thought the tear was placed," said someone else. Meanwhile, another person joked, "That tear gets paid more than all of us combined."
Some others, however, didn't think it was CGI. "Maybe she didn't wipe it to not mess up her makeup?" a user said. "You can see it welling up in her eye before it drops," another person defended the reality TV star, adding, "This is such a reach omg."
Insisting that it was "definitely a real tear," a fan wrote, "Kim knew exactly what she was doing by avoiding touching it so it would look good on cam."
