AceShowbiz - Nick Cannon has apparently been preparing for a lot more babies this year than the public has thought. The multi-hyphenate star has just welcomed another child, but not with the baby mama that fans may have known.
On Wednesday, September 14, the 41-year-old surprised everyone with the news that he just had a daughter with Lanisha Cole. Sharing a black-and-white picture of him joining the newborn and the mom, who were apparently still in the delivery room, he revealed the baby girl's name is Onyx Ice Cole Cannon.
"Introducing ONYX ICE COLE CANNON…," he wrote in the caption. "Once again Today I am in Awe of the Devine Feminine! God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth."
Nick declared, "I vow to protect, provide, guide and love this child to the best of my abilities." Preemptively shutting down any possible negative reactions, he said, "In this moment of celebration and jubilee, I wish to mute any low vibrational frequencies and only rejoice with the Highest Class of Civilization who are truly aligned with our purpose here in this dimension."
Seemingly addressing the question how he's able to spend time with all his children, he penned, "I am learning that it is not the limited amount of time we have on this planet but it's the limited amount of love that is the issue. And I promise to love this little girl with all my heart, regardless what anyone says...."
He's trying to protect his family from the criticism as he added, "Hopefully I can teach Onyx the same, to not let others shame or ridicule her with their outside opinions, because when they do they are only projecting their own harsh experiences, pain and social programming onto her unblemished beauty."
"The Masked Singer" host further pleaded, "So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children. @MissLanishaCole is one of the most guileless, peaceful and nonconfrontational kind souls I've ever witnessed, and only deserves to revel in this moment of blissful joy of motherhood. Please give her that."
Nick continued gushing over his latest baby mama, "She is so loving and pure hearted. As for me, if you are truly concerned during this time of Spiritual Warfare, my inner struggles with self, mental wellness and physical health concerns... Just continue to pray for me and my entire family that God will grant us Peace that surpasses all Understanding."
Nick's baby with Lanisha brings the number of his offspring to nine so far. While Lanisha had been open about her pregnancy, sharing a clip of her baring her pregnant belly on Mother's Day in May, neither she nor Nick had ever revealed the paternity of her unborn baby before.
Meanwhile, the comedian is currently expecting another child with Abby De La Rosa and a baby boy with Brittany Bell. He has already shared twins Zion and Zillion with Abby, as well as 5-year-old son Golden and 1-year-old daughter Powerful with Brittany.
Nick is also a father to 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe shared with ex-wife Mariah Carey and 2-month-old son Legendary shared with Bre Tiesi. Meanwhile, his son Zen, whom he welcomed with Alyssa Scott in June 2021, died of brain cancer last year at five months old.
