Thousands of people gather to pay their final tributes to the late monarch queen as the hearse carrying her oak coffin is traveling at a stately pace through the Aberdeenshire countryside.

AceShowbiz - Queen Elizabeth II's coffin is being transported from Balmoral Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland. The journey itself is expected to take six hours before the coffin is moved to London, U.K.
The hearse carrying the queen's oak coffin, which was wrapped in the Royal Standard for Scotland, was traveling at a stately pace through the Aberdeenshire countryside. A single motorbike rider led the way with six vehicles following behind.
Escorting the late monarch were her only daughter, Princess Anne, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence in a state Bentley. Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered to pay their final tributes to the queen, whose reign lasted 70 years. The silenced crowd threw flowers onto the road as they bowed their heads.
Once the casket reaches the Palace of Holyroodhouse, it will be put in the Throne room until Monday, September 12. It will eventually be moved to St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh before being flown to London on Tuesday.
Queen Elizabeth II's funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on September 19. It will be attended by members of the royal family, as well as senior U.K. politicians and world leaders. The service will mark the final stage of a period of national mourning.
In the wake of the queen's death, her grandchildren Prince William and Prince Harry reunited at Windsor Castle. The siblings greeted members of the public outside the castle as they were joined by their respective wives, Catherine, Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.
The group spent some time looking at the flowers and other tokens of respect left by the public at the royal residence. They subsequently shook hands with well-wishers and received bouquets of flowers from them.
The visit to Windsor Castle marks William and Harry's first joint public appearance since the Queen's death. A royal source told PEOPLE that William considered the walkabout to be "an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family."
