AceShowbiz - Meek Mill returns with new music. On Friday, September 9, the Dream Chasers head honcho released new single "Early Mornings" and its official music video where he gives fans a look at his lavish yet grounded lifestyle.
In the visuals, which is directed by Benjamin Carter, the 35-year-old Philadelphia native enjoys touring, partying and counting a stack of cash as he becomes a successful musician. Though so, the emcee proves that he will never forget his root by spending time with his hometown.
"I can show you how to make a boss out your mans/ Turn your car to a Benz, but it'll cost you your friends," he raps. "They be waitin' on your downfall, if you fall, that's the end/ But if you win, they come around more and all make amends."
Ahead of the new release, Meek wrote on Twitter, "It's a million men where we come from that 'rap' only a few can do it this way. I happen to be one of them." He added, "This video too much for main stream keep it underground."
"Early Mornings" serves as Meek's first release of the year and the first single since his exit from Roc Nation Management. The rapper himself will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut studio album "Dreams and Nightmares" nexth month. To mark the special occasion, he announced that he will perform at weddings for free under one condition.
Meek, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, shared his offer on Twitter. "If you get married in October … ima commit to performing dreams & nightmares at a wedding for free for the 10 year Anniversary," he declared.
After The Shade Room reposted his tweet on Instagram, "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" alum Hazel E commented, "What about Wedding Anniversary's? I'll do another vow renewal." Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter, in the meantime, replied, "@meekmill come turn us up at my mama wedding !!!!!"
