Also debuted during Disney's D23 Expo are a new trailer of 'Hocus Pocus 2' and the first teaser for 'Snow White' starring Rachel Zegler as the titular princess.

AceShowbiz - Disney has unveiled the first look at the highly-anticipated "The Little Mermaid (2023)" live-action remake. Debuted during Disney's D23 Expo on Friday, September 9, the official teaser trailer is now made available online for fans' viewing pleasure.

The teaser doesn't offer much of the plotline, but takes fan under the sea to get a glimpse of Halle Bailey as princess Ariel. She swims swiftly through the dark water before apparently showing up out of water and showing off her stunning voice under the skylight, singing "Part of Your World".

Also enchanting the audience at D23 was the first trailer of "Disenchanted". The sequel to 2007's "Enchanted" brings back Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel in their respective roles from the first film.

Set 15 years after her happily ever after, Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) move to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph), who has nefarious intentions for the family.

When problems arise, Giselle wishes that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. The spell backfires, with Giselle rushing to save her family and her homeland of the Kingdom of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight. The trailer sees Giselle turning into a wicked stepmother to her stepdaughter Morgan (Gabriella Baldacchino).

At the same event, Disney unleashed a new trailer for "Hocus Pocus 2". Offering a glimpse of the Sanderson sisters' past when they were banished from Salem, the trailer shows the hilarity that ensues as the trio runs amok in the town after they're accidentally awakened by three high-school students.

Meanwhile, fans at the expo were treated to the first look at Rachel Zegler as Snow White in the upcoming live-action movie, but unfortunately it has not been made available online. The 30-second teaser opens with the Evil Queen's (Gal Gadot) iconic question to her magic mirror. Snow White is seen donning her signature dress, before it ends with her dropping the poisoned apple.

"There's such an emphasis on what it meant to be the fairest of them all," Zegler said of the movie's opening line. Gadot also spoke of her role, "It was very different from anything I've ever done before. I'm used to playing the other end of where the heart should be."

"Little Mermaid" is due out in theaters on May 26, 2023. "Disenchanted" and "Hocus Pocus 2" are streaming on November 24 and September 30 respectively on Disney+, while "Snow White" is scheduled to be released theatrically in 2023.
