The track, which depicts a toxic relationship, appears on Kendrick's latest studio album, 'Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers' that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in May.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar just released a dramatic "We Cry Together" short film. The clip, which arrived on Thursday, September 1, shows the emcee and actress Taylour Paige having a tense argument with them trading "f**k you."

Kendrick and Taylour can't stop arguing in the video, which was shot in one take. They yell at each other in a small apartment while the "Zola" star is preparing to go to work.

The Grammy-winning emcee, however, takes his partner's key and locks himself in the bathroom so she won't leave the house. As they're tired of the intense back-and-forth, the toxic couple ends up having sex on a couch.

"We Cry Together" appears on Kendrick's latest studio album, "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers". The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in May, marking his fourth No. 1 on the list. The fifth studio album from the Compton-born rapper earned 295,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending May 19, according to Luminate.

The double album's total includes 258,500 in streaming equivalent album units (343.02 million on-demand streams of the tracks), 35,500 in album sales and 1,500 in track equivalent album units. It crushed the record previously set by Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" as the largest week of the year for any album.

Despite his success in the music industry, Kendrick refused to be called "the greatest" rapper anymore. "Now, I'm dropping the ego a bit. I want to take 'the greatest' off of it," the 35-year-old said in an interview with Citizen magazine. "I want to give people something they can hold onto. So whether it touches 100 million people or inspires one, I want to be that person."

Kendrick previously expressed similar sentiments on "Savior". On the track, he spits, "Kendrick made you think about it/ But he is not your savior."
