Christopher E. Ells states that he wants to withdraw from the assault case due to 'irreconcilable differences have arisen between' him and the Canadian hip-hop star.

AceShowbiz - Tory Lanez might need to find a new lawyer for his assault case involving "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" star Prince Michael Harty. According to RadarOnline.com, Christopher E. Ells asked the court for permission to withdraw as counsel.

In court documents obtained by the outlet, Christopher wants to withdraw from the case due to "irreconcilable differences have arisen between" him and the Canadian artist "which cannot be resolved." The attorney claimed he is "unable to effectively represent" the emcee.

Prince filed the lawsuit against Tory in 2020 over two separate incidents. In 2019, the two were involved in a physical altercation. At that time, the latter allegedly swung on the former at a Florida club, LIV, shortly before he took the stage to perform. Eyewitnesses said at the time that the rest of Tory's security team and entourage allegedly joined in on the beat down too.

A year later, Prince alleged that Tory's employee attacked him inside a separate nightclub. "Immediately after punching [Prince] in the face, [Tory's] employee/agent fled and attempted to enter [Tory's] vehicle. However, [Tory] yelled at the agent/employee and instructed him to leave the premises in a separate vehicle," so read the docs.

Prince is now seeking unspecified damages for the alleged physical, psychological, and mental distress "from blunt force trauma" to his neck, chest and back.

As for Tory, he previously declared that his actions were done in self-defense. Filing a motion to dismiss the case, he cited the law, "A person is justified in using or threatening to use force against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or another against the other's imminent use of unlawful force."

Tory himself is currently facing criminal charges in Los Angeles over the alleged shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion. The "Chauffeur" rhymer, however, has maintained his innocence.
