AceShowbiz - The 2022 VMAs will definitely deliver show-stopping moments and incredible performances. On Monday, August 15, MTV announced another round of performers for the highly-anticipated award-giving event.

The new lineup consists of four additional acts, including Lizzo, Blackpink, Jack Harlow and Maneskin. They are set to join previously-announced performers which include J Balvin, Anitta, Kane Brown, Panic at the Disco, Khalid and Marshmello.

This will mark Blackpink's first time performing at a U.S. awards show. The South Korean girl group previously made history after becoming the first K-pop girl group to take home a Moon Person when they won Song of Summer for "How You Like That". For the 2022 ceremony, the quartet is nominated in the Best Metaverse Performance category.

As for Lizzo, the Grammy-winning musician is up for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. She is also nominated for Best Pop and Video for Good for her hit single "About Damn Time". The 34-year-old star is set to perform "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" from her new album, "Special", which was dropped last month.

The upcoming event will not be the first time for Eurovision alums Maneskin to perform at the VMAs as they made their VMAs debut at last year's ceremony. However, this year makes the group, which is in contention for Best New Artist and Best Alternative, the first Italian act to be nominated in a main category.

Meanwhile, the 2022 VMAs will mark Jack's first solo outing after he hit the VMAs stage with Lil Nas X at the 2021 VMAs. Tying with Kendrick Lamar, the Kentucky rapper scores seven nods at this year's ceremony.

Also performing at the upcoming event is Nicki Minaj. The "Super Freaky Girl" femcee has also been chosen to be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which is the VMAs equivalent of a lifetime achievement trophy.

The 2022 VMAs will air live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sunday, August 28 at 8 P.M. ET.
