Keanu Reeves also makes a surprise appearance during Collider's Directors on Directing panel, joining 'John Wick: Chapter 4' director Chad Stahelski who is a panelist.

AceShowbiz - Keanu Reeves crashed the party at the San Diego Comic-Con, but no one would even complain about it. If any, the actor's surprise appearance only drummed up the excitement as he was on hand to promote the new "John Wick" movie.

"Sorry to crash the party, they threw me out here," Reeves said when crashing Collider's Directors on Directing panel on Friday, July 22, where "John Wick: Chapter 4" director Chad Stahelski was a panelist. They revealed that the fourthquel takes place in five locales, Japan, America, Paris, Berlin and Jordan.

At the panel, they also debuted the first footage of "JW 4". The trailer opens with Reeves' John Wick punching a roped pole, while a voiceover asks him, "Have you given any thought to where this ends? No one, not even you, can kill everyone."

Laurence Fishburne's The Bowery King interrupts John's training to ask him, "You ready, John?" before the scenes show the title character in a lot of action scenes, fighting with samurai sword, jumping out of the window and hitting the enemies with nunchucks. The trailer also introduces Bill Skarsgard's character.

"Lot of nunchucks," Stahelski after the trailer was played before the audience, "We just love nunchucks." Reeves then enthused, "I think you just like to torture your lead character."

Plot details of the fourth film are still kept under wraps. In the third film, he was ex-communicated. In the final moments of "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum", a gravely injured John was delivered to the Bowery King for protection. That will set up a deeper connection between the two characters.

"I should be going to Berlin within another couple of months or so," Fishburne told Collider when promoting his other new film "The Ice Road". "I read the script. It's really, really cool. As much as it's the same world as the other three films, it's just deeper. It's much deeper in terms of the code of the assassin. And the relationship that he has with one character in particular who I think Mr. Watanabe is playing...is really the heart and soul of it."

"John Wick: Chapter 4" is slated to hit U.S. theaters on March 24, 2023. Ian McShane reprises his role as Winston, Lance Reddick returns as Charon, Rina Sawayama stars as Akira, with Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins and Clancy Brown also joining the cast.
