An attorney for the Laundries reveals a notebook belonging to the late Brian in which he admitted to killing his girlfriend and expressed his immense guilt over it.

AceShowbiz - Brian Laundrie's notebook which was found near his body has been revealed to public, almost a year since the mysterious disappearance of Gabby Petito that ended with Brian's suicide. On Friday, June 24, an attorney for his family released pages from his notebook which contains his eerie confession of the murder of his girlfriend.

Throughout the note, Brian claimed he killed Gabby out of mercy because she was injured and she pled him to end her life. "I ended her life," Brian wrote in the notebook in blue ink, which was partly smeared. "I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made."

Brian then expressed his immense guilt which led to his decision to end his own life. "I panicked. I was in shock. But from the moment I decided, took away her pain, I knew I couldn't go on without her," he claimed.

Brian also apologized to everyone affected by the tragedy and noted how much Gabby's parents would hate him. He realized his family would be in shock and hoped that they can move on with ease.

The notebook was found in October 2021 after his death by suicide. Brian Entin, a correspondent at WGN America, reported that "there is at least one other Brian Laundrie confession - possibly two - according to the attorney for the Petito family," with one being on a "digital device."

The News Nation journalist also questioned why Brian did not seek help for Gabby if she was hurt. "I've been to the spot where Gabby was killed. It's right next to the creek Laundrie referenced in his letter- and the creek is next to where van was parked. The van was right there. If she was really hurt- why not take her to a hospital? Or call someone? I had cell service there," he noted in his tweet.

Gabby was reported missing by her family in late August during a road trip with her boyfriend Brian. Her body was found on September 19 at Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming and a manhunt for Brian ended with the discovery of his skeletal remains on October 23 in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. His cause of death was determined as a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
