The 67-year-old insists that she wants what's best for her eldest daughter after she's not invited to the pop star's wedding following the accusations that she's the mastermind behind the 13-year conservatorship.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' estranged mom has spoken out after she was snubbed from the pop star's wedding. In a brief new interview, Lynne Spears said that she wants her eldest daughter to be "happy."

In a video circulating online, a photographer caught the 67-year-old mother of three leaving LAX in Los Angeles on Thursday night, June 23. The cameraman could be heard asking how she was feeling after not getting invited to her estranged daughter's wedding to Sam Asghari. She didn't talk much about her daughter but insisted that she wants what's best for her as saying, "I just want her to be happy."

Following Britney's June 9 wedding, Lynne attempted to reach out to her daughter after their fallout over the singer's controversial conservatorship. At the time, Lynne commented on the "Toxic" hitmaker's Instagram post featuring photos from the star-studded ceremony that took place in her backyard.

"You look radiant and so happy!" Lynne commented. "Your wedding is the 'Dream' wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!"

As for Britney, she decided to cut ties with most of her family following the end of her almost 14-year conservatorship that controlled her personal affairs and estate. In a since-deleted Instagram post, the 40-year-old star claimed that while her dad, Jamie Spears, may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago, it was allegedly her mother who first gave him the idea.

"She secretly ruined my life … and yes I will call her and [business manager] Lou Taylor out on it. So take your whole 'I have NO IDEA what's going on' attitude and go f**k yourself !!!!" Britney stated at the time, "You know exactly what you did…my dad is not smart enough to ever think of a conservatorship."

Britney then deleted the post and replaced it with one which appeared to be celebrating the news that her father has formally requested an end to her conservatorship, telling the judge in Los Angeles that he is abandoning his role immediately and does not want further payment.

"It was a family business before … it's no longer that anymore !!!!" said Britney in the updated post, which had edited out the attack on her mother. "I was BORN today cause I get to SMILE … so thank you for exiting out of my life and finally allowing me to live mine !!!! Psssss do I know how mean I sound ??? Yes … I 100 billion percent I do."

In July 2021, Lynne issued a sworn statement in support of her daughter's attempts to remove her father as a conservator. "It is clear to me that James P. Spears is incapable of putting my daughter's interests ahead of his own on both a professional and a personal level," she said.
