The 29-year-old Grammy-winning artist, who is currently busy working on her sophomore album, denies reports suggesting that she will release a new single next week.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B is not releasing new music anytime soon. After Page Six reported that she was set to drop a new single next week with the help of a "top male artist in the hip hop game," the "WAP" hitmaker took to social media to shut down the report.

"BARDIGANG I don't wanna gas y'all and put a battery in yall back ….so I'm going to be the one to tell y'all what @PageSix wrote is not true," the 29-year-old declared on Twitter. "I actually wish but if y'all been checking in with me on Centerfold y'all know what's been the issue [kiss emoji with heart]."

Cardi hasn't released a song since dropping "Up" in February 2021. However, she made guest appearances on some tracks like Normani Kordei's "Wild Side", Lizzo's Rumors", Summer Walker's "No Love (Extended)" as well as Kay Flock's "Shake It" over the last year.

The wife of Offset is currently busy working on her sophomore album, which will be released later this year. She also confirmed on the Playboy Centerfold platform that her 2020 smash hit "WAP" ft. Megan Thee Stallion "Up" will also be featured on the project.

It prompted an online hater to accuse Cardi of adding the two tracks only to boost its sales, which she already denied. "Stop trying to act innocent when u know u was [sic] trying to pander. Why haven't you said nothing about other artist who recently put songs b4 the pandemic on their album or people that have to put other people songs on their s**t..Imagine my biggest song not being on a [sic] album," she wrote in a June 5 tweet.

In a separate post, Cardi further explained, "One more thing my first album I did not had CDs,Merch or bundles just straight fire..and I had a [sic] amazing debut and gave a song that became DIAMOND from it." She continued fuming, "F**k you talking about…wash your tongue correctly b4 you talk about who needs streams in this b***h!"
