Other cast members who are expected to leave the long-running NBC sketch show after this weekend's episode are Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney.

AceShowbiz - "Saturday Night Live" might lose some of its fan-favorite cast members. If a new report is to be believed, Pete Davidson and three other stars are leaving the long-running NBC sketch show after they wrap season 47.

The first to break the news was Variety. Other cast members who will also exit the show after this weekend's episode, which will be hosted by Natasha Lyonne, are Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney.

NBC has yet to confirm the report.

This was not the first time Pete was rumored to leave "SNL". The comic first hinted at his exit during an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in 2020, saying, "I have conversations with a lot of people [about leaving]... It's a hard thing to do, because you don't want to ever pull the trigger too early. Everybody's always been like, 'You'll know when you know and it'll all be all right.' "

"Here's the thing: I personally think that I should be done with that show, because they make fun of me on it," he explained. "I get it, but I'm like, cold-open, political punchlines. I'm like, 'Weekend Update' jokes. When I'm not there, they'll be like, 'Ha ha ha, Pete's a f**king jerk-face.' And you're like, 'Whose side are you on?' "

"I have a weird feeling in that building where I don't know whose team they're playing for, really," the boyfriend of Kim Kardashian admitted. "If I'm the joke or I'm in on the joke."

Pete sparked the speculation once again in the season 46 finale last May when he closed out the "Weekend Update". He said, "I'm very grateful to be here and it's been an honor to grow up in front of you guys."

When joining Hollywood Reporter's Comedy Actor roundtable later that month, "The King of Staten Island" actor pointed out that he's "ready" to leave the show. After he and fellow "SNL" star Chris Redd were asked whether they would be on "SNL" for 18 seasons like Kenan Thompson, Chris first answered, "I would never do 18 seasons." The 28-year-old then agreed, "Yeah, I'm good."

"I'm surprised I made it to seven. I'm ready to hang up the jersey," the former fiance of Ariana Grande went on stating. "Kenan's likef**kin' Karl Malone out there."
