In a new interview, the 'Havana' hitmaker reveals deleting social media and seeking professional help among the tricks that she relies on whenever she struggles with negative self-image.

AceShowbiz - Camila Cabello has had enough of her constant battle with negative body standards. Having had "a really s**tty time" with her body image, the "Havana" hitmaker opened up in a new interview about putting her mental health as her priority.

The "Never Be the Same" hitmaker gave updates about her mental health weeks ahead of her upcoming performance at the opening ceremony of UEFA Champions League final. During the chat, she revealed the tricks she uses to help balance out negative body image flooding in her mind.

"When I start to compare myself to people that I see on Instagram, which literally a couple days ago, I had the same kind of cycle of thoughts," Camila spilled to PEOPLE. "I was just like, 'I'm just going to delete Instagram and TikTok,' the apps from my phone, and that helps me."

Other than deleting social media from her phone, the ex-girlfriend of Shawn Mendes noted that she is a firm believer in seeking professional help. "Whenever there's just some sauce on the floors of my brain and it's f**king wonky in there, therapy's just me cleaning up, sorting it out," she elaborated.

"When you're having mental health struggles, treating it like a broken arm or leg and being like, 'I need X, Y, and Z to feel better,' " the "Senorita" hitmaker added. "I think that's important."

Elsewhere in the interview, Camila also shared about unrealistic body standards. "People can often look at these pictures of celebrities and want to change their diet or aspire to that," she explained, "I thought it was important for me to be like, 'Hey, this isn't necessarily something to aspire to. I might look a certain way, but I've had a really s**tty time, and that's not a good way to be.' "

By opening up about the issue, the "Don't Go Yet" singer hoped to let people know that even a celebrity like her, who looked glamorous and put together, also struggled with mental health behind the scene. "I don't have a solution for it, and I struggle with it all the time, even after that post. At the Met [Gala], I struggled with it too," she admitted, "It's an ever-present struggle, and I think a lot of women feel that way."

Body image talk aside, Camila is set to take the stage on May 28 at the Stade de France before Liverpool and Real Madrid compete against each other for the coveted European Champion Clubs' Cup.

About the special gig, the 25-year-old singer gushed in her statement, "I'm so excited to be taking to the stage at the UEFA Champions League final in Paris this month! I intend on putting on a really special show, bringing together the spirit of my Latin heritage and a feeling of togetherness for sports and music fans all over the world - I can't wait!"
