The sibling of the late 'Fast and Furious' actor urges people to 'be responsible' and warns viewers of the dangers of illegal street racing, noting that it's 'not worth the risk.'

AceShowbiz - Paul Walker's brother Cody Walker appears in a new street racing public service announcement for the Orange County District Attorney. In the PSA, the brother of the late "Fast and Furious" star warned people of the dangers of illegal street racing.

In the clip, cars outfitted to race are seen cruising at breakneck speeds down motorways. Later, the "F9" actor Sung Kang says in voiceover, "Sometimes we just wanna get into our cars and drive. It's how we blow off steam. Spend time with our friends." He continues, "Sometimes we just wanna go a little fast. And a bit furious." At this point, one of the cars skids to one side, leaving smoke in its wake."

Soon, Cody appears on screen, saying, "Guys. Let's be responsible. There's someone waiting for you at home." A title card then reads, "We're losing too many of our loved ones from street racing… Keep it on the track."

"Like many of you, I too have lost somebody due to reckless driving," Cody says. "I think a lot of the time when those of us that want to go fast, or we have something to prove, we don't take into consideration the lives of those around us."

Cody continues, "It's not just you that you're putting in jeopardy, it's everybody else around you. So don't be dumb, take it to the track." He goes on stressing, "There's somebody at home that loves you that's expecting you to return. It's not worth the risk, I promise."

In a press release published in tandem with the PSA, Trujillo Puckett, who founded the nonprofit Street Racing Kills, expressed her desire to educate the youth about the "dangers of illegal street racing and reckless driving." Trujillo said, "One of the things I've seen most among young drivers is how they glorify the 'Fast and Furious' franchise and how they look up to all actors of these movies." She later pointed out, "What they have to say this will mean the world to them and will undoubtedly save lives."

In November 2013, Paul died after his Porsche crashed into a concrete lamp post in Santa Clarita, California. At the time, the 40-year-old actor's friend, who was driving the vehicle, was speeding at more than 100 miles per hour. The actor's death came while he was in the middle of filming "Furious 7", which hit theaters in April 2015.
