The leaked footage of 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' features John Krasinski's surprise appearance in a blue suit while confronting Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch.

AceShowbiz - Marvel Studios' strict secrecy policy appears to have been breached. Less than a week before "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" hits theaters across the nation, footage of the movie leaked online.

The leaked footage, which seems to be legit as it comes in the form of grainy video and photo stills, seems to spoil a major cameo. [SPOILER ALERT!] The clip features a surprise appearance of John Krasinski, who appears to portray Mister Fantastic.

In the said scene, Krasinski dons a blue and black latex suit with the iconic Fantastic Four logo on the chest. He stands with three other unidentified heroes behind him while confronting Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch.

The footage appears to confirm Krasinski's casting as the Fantastic Four character. "Doctor Strange" star Chiwetel Ejiofor previously hinted at the "A Quiet Place" star/director playing the character in an interview.

Last year, rumors also swirled that "The Office" alum was among those who were considered to star in the "Fantastic Four (2022)" reboot, though the role was not mentioned at the time. It's also unclear if Krasinski slips into the iconic blue-and-black suit only for "Multiverse of Madness" or if the scene introduces his role in the upcoming "Fantastic Four" movie.

Meanwhile, the project recently faced a setback as Jon Watts, who directed "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and its two predecessors, has dropped out as a director. Both the filmmaker and Disney confirmed his withdrawal on Friday, April 29.

"Making three 'Spider-Man' films was an incredible and life changing experience for me," Watts said in a statement. "I'm eternally grateful to have been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for seven years. I'm hopeful we'll work together again and I can't wait to see the amazing vision for 'Fantastic Four' brought to life."

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige respected the decision. He said in a separate statement, "Collaborating with Jon on the 'Spider-Man' films has been a true pleasure. We were looking forward to continuing our work with him to bring the Fantastic Four into the MCU but understand and are supportive of his reasons for stepping away. We are optimistic that we will have the opportunity to work together again at some point down the road."

The exit is amicable as Watts needs a break from the superhero realm after completing the "Spider-Man" trilogy starring Tom Holland and Zendaya Coleman, according to Deadline.

"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", which stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role, will open in U.S. theaters on May 6.
