AceShowbiz - Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are seen for the first time since his arrest. On Saturday night, April 23, the "Dont' Stop the Music" singer and her boyfriend were caught on camera enjoying a date night in California.
The pair, who are currently expecting their first child together, were photographed at celebrity hot spot Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. For the outing, the Fenty Beauty founder put her baby bump on display as she wore a black bra and black-and-white jacket.
To complete her style, Rihanna opted to go with black pinstriped shorts and silver sandals. Rocky, on the other hand, kept it casual in a gray floral hoodie, matching jeans and a graphic T-shirt. He finished off his look with gray, green and black sneakers.
The dinner date took place just days after Rocky was arrested on gun charges at Los Angeles International Airport. He was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department upon his and Rihanna's arrival from Barbados.
The A$AP Mob member reportedly had been under investigation by the LAPD for a November 6, 2021 incident, where he reportedly shot at an alleged victim 3 to 4 times near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue around 10:20 P.M following an argument. Acccording to police reports, one of the bullets grazed his left hand.
It didn't take long for Rocky to get his freedom back. The "Good for You" spitter, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, was released just several hours later after posting his $550,000 bond.
Speaking about how arrest, a source told The Sun, "Rihanna was there when Rocky was arrested and has been crying non-stop... She's heavily pregnant and these are very serious accusations, it's a nightmare scenario for her."
RiRi allegedly planned to host a celebration for the impending arrival of her first child with the rapper on Wednesday night, but had to cancel it at last minute after Rocky got arrested earlier that day. "It was meant to be Rihanna's baby shower in L.A. on Wednesday night but they had to cancel," the source revealed.
