The 'I Wanna Love You Forever' hitmaker's Instagram account is flooded with criticism after she makes 'questionable' movements and seemingly reads lines off a cue card while endorsing allergy relief medicine.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson was hit with surprising response for her product endorsement. After posting a sponsored ad on her Instagram account, the "I Wanna Love You Forever" hitmaker found herself being ridiculed by fans over her awkwardness.
On Thursday, April 19, the older sister of Ashlee Simpson posted the ad on her Instagram feed and Story. It was for Flonase, an allergy relief medicine. In the 20-second ad, she was seen slurring her words and reading her script from a cue card below the camera.
Jessica quickly received a lot of critics from unhappy fans. One commented, "Lmao Flonase please hire a professional. That was embarassing to watch." Others quickly agreed with one replying, "The photo looks ok. The stories are… questionable. Eyes everywhere. Fidgety movements."
Another suggested that Jessica was looking at a cue card. "Well yeah she was reading off of a card," the critic wrote, "Hard to believe that it couldn't be memorized! I mean it's an ad, how do you not memorize 20 seconds of talking about Flonase."
Many others also did not hold back in expressing their disapproval. "If she is truly a customer, she should be able to promote it in her own words," one comment read as it further noted that Jessica looked "fidgety & nervous AF." A lot of negative comments similarly pointed out that the 41-year-old looked "cringe" and "awkward to watch."
The criticism did not stop there. One argued, "Really that's the worst ad / commercial by you. With ur eyes all over the place. You couldn't memorize the cue cards for a simple ad?" It concluded with a sarcastic remark, " 'a card held beside a camera for a television broadcaster to read from while appearing to look into the camera.' LOL."
Some went further by speculating that Jessica might be drunk while she was recording the ad. One commented, "I love Jess but she seemed drunk. Terrible terrible," while another suggested, "To me it was like she had been day drinking. I mean. I wasn't mad about it."
Jessica herself had been open about her past dependency on alcohol and drugs. In her memoir "Open Book", she wrote, "I was killing myself with all the drinking and pills. Giving up the alcohol was easy. I was mad at that bottle. At how it allowed me to stay complacent and numb." She has since 2017 begun her sobriety journey and found that therapy helped her heal.
