Calling the rumors 'silly' and 'boring,' the actress wife of the 'Greatest Showman' actor calls out tabloids for continuing to perpetuate a false narrative about him during a podcast interview.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman's wife Deborah-Lee Furness is setting the record straight once again. Claiming that she's over the speculations, the wife of "The Greatest Showman" actor reacted to rumors regarding his sexuality during her appearance in the Sunday, April 17 episode of the "Not An Overnight Success" podcast.

"If he was gay, he could be gay," Furness shared. The 66-year-old Australian actress went on to say, "He didn't have to hide in the closet anymore and he'd be dating Brad Pitt or whatever."

She also called the rumors "silly" and "boring." Additionally, she called out tabloids for continuing to perpetuate a false narrative about Jackman. "How can people just make this up? It just amazes me that these magazines continue to get away with it," she told host Gus Worland.

"What they're selling is schadenfreude. They are selling misery. People must be wanting to buy that other people are miserable because it makes them feel better about themselves," she continued to blast the tabloids.

Jackman and Furness met for the first time in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series "Correlli". They tied the knot in the following year before welcoming son Oscar (21) and daughter Ava (16) into their family. Reflecting on their romance, Furness shared that she and the Wolverine depicter had "an incredible connection from the get-go."

Of their first encounter, Furness said that "it was magic." She went on to say that the "Logan" star "proposed four months after we started dating." Furness noted that accepting his proposal was a "no-brainer," before gushing, "It was the first time ever I'd known what it was like to be in love."

Earlier this month, Jackman, who's currently starring in "The Music Man" on Broadway, took to his Instagram account to celebrate his 26th marriage anniversary with Furness. Alongside a picture of them sharing an embrace, the actor wrote in the caption, "Today I celebrate 26 years of marriage to my extraordinary wife. Every single day is filled with so much laughter, joy and backgammon!!!! Deb you light up my life. I love you with all my heart!"

Some of his celebrity pals sent love for the couple and congratulated the happy couple for the milestone. "Congratulations," Priyanka Chopra said. Meanwhile, fellow Marvel star Mark Ruffalo commented, "Going Strong! In it to win it!"
