The 'Dance Wiv Me' rapper, whose real name is Dylan Mills, is sentenced after he was found guilty of assaulting Cassandra during an altercation that occurred last year.

AceShowbiz - Dizzee Rascal can now breathe a sigh of relief. The "Dance Wiv Me" rapper reportedly managed to avoid a prison sentence after he was charged for assaulting his former fiancee Cassandra Jones last year.
During sentencing on Friday, April 8, District Judge Polly Gledhill at Croydon Magistrates' Court ordered the emcee to wear an electronic tag for 24 weeks and observe a nightly curfew. He was also given a 12-month restraining order after the judge said she was "satisfied" it was a "necessary and proportionate" measure.
Judge Polly told Dizzee that she wanted him to work on how he thought and behaved since he "lost his temper and used violence." She concluded by saying the musician expressed "no remorse for this matter" and said throughout the trial he continued "to place the blame on Ms. Jones - the victim in this case."
Dizzee allegedly headbutted his ex-partner during an altercation that took place in the summer of 2021 at her London home. The former couple reportedly got into a heated argument over money and custody arrangement for their two children.
Dizzee was later arrested after some neighbors called the police. However, the British star was released on conditional bail. When appearing at Croydon magistrates court in September, his defense lawyer Iskander Fernandez said the musician denied "pushing his head into the complainant's head and [denied] pushing her to the floor."
Dizzee is considered to be one of grime's founding fathers. He previously said he wanted to continue making music and was not interested in dabbling in the stock market. "Just making music as always. That's the main thing I'm always trying to work on," he said.
"I'm not the dude who is trying to find all this other stuff to get stuck into, to invest in. People throw that word around a lot now - invest, invest," he added. "Maybe I should be but I feel this is the time to throw yourself into what you actually know that you're good at."
