AceShowbiz - "The Masked Singer" season 7 returned with an all-new episode on Wednesday, April 6. In the new episode, which was titled "Masking for a Duel -Round 2", the remaining four singers in this group returned to battle for their second performances.
The first singer to perform that night was Team Good's Ringmaster. In his clue, he shared that he has been writing songs since the 90s. She sang "Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj. Ken Jeong guessed Taylor Swift, guest panelist Nicole Buyer named Olivia Rodrigo and Alanis Morissette, while Nicole Scherzinger mentioned Zara Larsson.
Following it up was Team Good's Armadillo, who hit the stage to perform "I Fought the Law" by The Bobby Fuller Four. Near the end of his performance, Armadillo did a kick and fell flat on his ass. As for the guesses, the panelists mentioned Gary Busey, Jay Leno and William H. Macy.
Performing "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top was Team Bad's Hydra. His clue included a deck of cards. Jenny McCarthy guessed Bert & Ernie. Meanwhile, Robin thought Hydra could be Trey Parker & Matt Stone.
Rounding out the night was Team Cuddly's Miss Teddy. She said, "My whole purpose of being here is to make people smile. I really do want America to have a hug because we have all been through so much together. Some people will know my voice, some people won’t. But for me as an artist, no one is going to expect me to be singing these songs."
For the night, Miss Teddy opted to sing "Tell Me You Love Me" by Demi Lovato. Her MegaClue was a note congratulating her on her Grammy win. Jenny guessed Gloria Gaynor, Nicole B. named Jennifer Hudson and Nicole thought she could be CeCe Winans.
Host Nick Cannon announced that Armadillo and Hydra had to face off against each other in a duel. Armadillo sang Rufus Thomas' "Walkin' the Dog", while Hydra performed "Two Princes" by Spin Doctors. The winner was Armadillo, meaning that Hydra had to get unmasked.
As for the final guesses, Robin thought Trey Parker and Matt Stone could be under the Hydra mask. Jennie named Bert & Ernie, Ken guessed Will Arnett and Zach Galifianakis. Nicole went with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly with Nicole B. guessing Penn & Teller. Nicole B. was right as Hydra were famous magicians Penn & Teller.
