The 'Drew Barrymore Show' host talks about her relationship with Luke while sitting down with her friend Kate Hudson, who dated the actor's brother, Owen Wilson.

AceShowbiz - Drew Barrymore admitted that she once dated Luke Wilson. When sitting down with her longtime friend Kate Hudson on her "The Drew Barrymore Show", the "50 First Dates" actress revealed that she was in a "wild" open relationship with the actor.

The 46-year-old made the confession in the Thursday, January 27 episode of her daytime talk show. "When we first met, we were young and wild," she said, before Kate interjected, "I think it was at a bar/restaurant … Chez Jay's in Santa Monica, with Luke."

"I was dating him, but I think he was also dating other people," Drew said as she brust into laughter. "It was an open relationship, we were young. It's so fun 'cause when you're young you're like, 'It's low stakes.' "

"We're just young, we're having fun, we're all playing, acting, hanging out," the Golden Globe winner went on explaining. "You're not taking it all so seriously, and it was fun and we had the best time."

Drew was first linked romantically to Luke after working together on the 1997 film "Best Men". The "Out School" star and the Emmy nominee later reunited on screen for 1998's "Home Fries".

Drew has been married three times. She was first married to film producer Jeremy Thomas from 1994 to 1995, to her "Charlie's Angels" co-star Tom Green from 2001 to 2002, and to Will Kopelman from 2012 to 2016. She shares two daughters with Will, 9-year-old Olive and 7-year-old Frankie.

As for Kate, she dated Luke's older brother, Owen Wilson, on-and-off. The former couple, who met on the set of the 2006 flick "You, Me and Dupree", parted ways in 2007. They reconciled in the following year before finally calling it quits for good. The "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" actress is now engaged to musician Danny Fujikawa.
