The former lovebirds first spark split rumors after the 'Bachelor' alum is caught removing several recent photos with her fiance from her Instagram profile.

AceShowbiz - Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian had some serious trouble in paradise. The "Bachelor in Paradise" couple announced on Monday, January 24 that they decided to call it quits after getting engaged in season 7 finale of "BiP".
In a joint statement to PEOPLE, the pair said, "We have decided to go our separate ways." They added, "Never did we imagine this, but we've come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves."
The statement continued, "We've appreciated everyone's love and support so far throughout our journey and we just ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate through this."
They first sparked split rumors after Maurissa removed recent photos with Riley from her Instagram profile. She also shared a video without her engagement ring and a cryptic quote that read, "All that glitters is not gold."
Riley popped the question to Maurissa in the October 2021 finale of the Mexico spin-off. "I didn't even think he was going to propose at all," Maurissa shared in an interview with Us Weekly following the finale.
"The whole time we were standing there, I'm like, 'OK, well, I'm about to be embarrassed, we’re about to walk out together.' … I told him the night before. I was like, 'No matter what I want to be with you, I support your decision, like, we can leave together,' " she continued.
She added, "I just didn't want to walk out on a podium and get embarrassed. I'm like, 'Can we just leave together now if you want to leave?' "
As for Riley, he said, "It wasn't too long after the fantasy suites. I said [on the episode that] I had some things to, like, think about, which I did because I mean, having a family, being engaged is everything that I ever wanted. So obviously I want to take my time and make the decision, but, you know, it didn't take too much time. I thought about it. I got it out and it was game time."
