AceShowbiz - Bella Hadid has come under fire over her recent interview. After claiming that she stopped having a stylist because it gave her anxiety, the supermodel found herself being dragged by online users on Twitter.
The 25-year-old made the confession when speaking to WSJ Magazine. "I haven't had a stylist in a long time, maybe two years now. I was in such a weird place mentally that it was really complicated for me to get out of the house and put an outfit together, especially with the anxiety of [paparazzi] being outside and all that," she said.
"In the last year, it was really important for me to learn that even if people talk about my style or if they like it or if they don't, it doesn't matter, because it's my style," the younger sister of Gigi Hadid added. "When I leave the house in the morning, what I think about is: Does this make me happy? Do I feel good in this and do I feel comfortable?"
Many Twitter users have since made fun of Bella. "god gives his worst battles to his best warriors," one person sarcastically wrote, with another tweeting, "if you look up 'first world problem' in the dictionary, this shows up." A third added, "poor rich person [pleading face emojis] she's so brave."
The hate continued with one person arguing, "A stylist! There are people with real problems out there and you focus on this." A different user then chimed in, "I like Bella but she is so out of touch sometimes."
Bella has been open about her mental struggle. In the interview with WSJ Magazine, the catwalk beauty explained the reason behind her tearful selfies that she shared on social media. "That post made me less lonely because I had a lot of people that have reached out saying, 'I feel that way too,' " she said. "Walking outside, being able to remember there are so many people going through things and have similar patterns to me, it makes me feel better."
"I don't know if that's not what people want on Instagram, and that's fine," the daughter of Yolanda Hadid further elaborated. "I don't have to be on Instagram forever. I feel like real is the new real, and that's what's important to me."
