AceShowbiz - Priyanka Chopra has addressed the wild speculation that arose after she decided to remove Nick Jonas' last name from her Instagram bio. In a new interview, the "Quantico" actress said that being in the public eye left her having "very vulnerable feeling."
During the interview with Vanity Fair for its February cover story, the "Baywatch" star addressed the "random Monday in November" when she reverted back to only her first and last name on Instagram, a social media gesture that triggered speculation from fans that her marriage was in trouble. She then told the publication that the online reaction left her feeling "very vulnerable."
"It's a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything that's behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate," Priyanka told the outlet. The Sati depicter in "The Matrix Resurrections" added, "It's just a professional hazard. Because of the noise of social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don't think it needs that."
Last November, many social media users speculated that there might be trouble in paradise in Priyanka's marriage to Nick after she suddenly changed her Instagram name from Priyanka Chopra Jonas to only Priyanka Chopra. However, the 39-year-old actress was quick to put the rumors to rest by leaving a flirty comment on her husband's Instagram post.
At the time, Nick posted a working out video on his social media page. In it, the one-third of the Jonas Brothers flexed his arm muscles as he wore a sleeveless shirt, shorts and compression leggings while doing biceps curls. In the comment section, Priyanka gushed, "Damn! I just died in your arms…" adding an emoji with heart eyes, another sweating and a third simple red heart.
Upon learning of Priyanka's sweet gestures, many fans were relieved as they believed that the married couple's relationship is still going strong. "We all shocked after hearing this news .. Thank God it's fake," one person reacted. Another person brushed the split speculation altogether as saying, "Theres nothing wrong you are all reaching."
