After the 'Bruised' actress clarifies that she and her beau 'were just having some New Year's Day fun,' the Grammy-winning musician posts a picture expressing his disappointment that the rumors were not true.

AceShowbiz - Fans were not the only one disappointed after Halle Berry debunked her marriage rumors. After the Oscar-winning actress has set the record straight that she and her boyfriend Van Hunt are not married just yet, the musician has poked fun at the wedding speculation.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, January 2 to express perhaps his disappointment or embarrassment over the wild rumors, Van posted a picture of a man diving into the water head first. In the caption, he jokingly wrote, "me after finding out i'm not really married to Halle Berry."

Meanwhile, Halle has taken to her account to clear things up after sparking the wedding rumors with her previous post. Sharing another picture of her and her man, she wrote in the caption, "We were just having some New Year's Day fun!"

"People clearly don't swipe as much as we thought they did," the "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum" star referred to the post, which included a new year greeting from her. "thank you for the well wishes, tho', it really touched our hearts!" she added, after receiving congratulatory messages from her celebrity pals and fans. She went on trolling the Internet as concluding, "Now it's OFFICIAL, the internet is no longer undefeated."

Halle's picture that led people to believe she and Van tied the knot showed the pair kissing at what looked like an altar. In the caption, she wrote, "well…IT'S OFFICIAL!" which sounded like a wedding announcement. However, the second slide featured a selfie of the two with a note that read, "It's 2022!"

Before Halle clarified the rumors, she received tons of messages from her followers congratulating her and Van. One in particular was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who exclaimed, "congrats you two!!! Beautiful!!" Octavia Spencer chimed in as writing, "Congratulations!!!!!"

Taraji P. Henson joined in by raving, "Congrats!!! So happy for you." Meagan Good then marveled, "CONGRATULATIONS QUEEN." Naomi Campbell, meanwhile, added, "Congratulations @halleberry blessings to your beautiful Union."
