When speaking out for the first time since the Girls Aloud singer's passing, John Hardman hints that he and his daughter finally reconciled while she was battling breast cancer.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Harding's estranged dad has broken his silence on his daughter's tragic passing months after her death. John Hardman took to his social media platform to pay tribute to the late Girls Aloud singer, noting that he missed her "greatly."

In a new social media post, the 82-year-old father uploaded a photograph of Sarah. In it, the singer could be seen wearing a pink polkadot dress while holding a folding fan. Along with the snapshot, he wrote, "In memory of my beautiful daughter Sarah Harding (Hardman) this Christmas."

"I cherish the moments we had together before and during her illness," John continued, hinting that he and Sarah had reconciled before her death. He went on saying, "We all miss her greatly."

John then expressed his gratitude to Sarah's fans for their outpouring support as saying, "We thank her fans for their love and kindness, wishing them and their families a very happy Christmas." He added, "One can only try to stay safe in such difficult times," before concluding his message, "Best wishes. JH…[red heart emoji]."

His followers were quick to comment on the post and send their condolences. One said, "Very sorry for your loss may she rest in peace," while another commented, "We will always love her. keep strong."

Though Sarah never addressed her relationship with her father after being diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2020, she spoke positively about him in her autobiography "Hear Me Out", which was released in March 2021. "My dad John was hugely into music. A talented musician in his own right, he played lead guitar, piano and bass, and he sang too," she gushed. "I vividly remember the photo of him and his guitar which was on display at my granny's house."

She continued recalling, "Dad has been in quite a few bands over the years and one of the things we have in common is that we've both performed at The Royal Variety Performance and met the Queen." The "Wear It Like A Crown" singer raved, "How cool is that?"

Sarah lost her battle with breast cancer in September. Months before her death, she said that she had been warned that Christmas 2020 would probably be her last since her cancer had spread.

"In December my doctor told me that the upcoming Christmas would probably be my last," the 39-year-old singer said in "Hear Me Out". "I don't want an exact prognosis. I don't know why anyone would want that. Comfort and being as pain-free as possible is what's important to me now."
