The former 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant reveals the 'Harry Potter' star once slid into her DMs, but she didn't respond because she 'didn't get [his] joke.'

AceShowbiz - Olivia Jade's popularity has apparently reached across the pond. The YouTube star has revealed that she once received an Instagram direct message from "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton, but she never responded.

The daughter of Lori Loughlin spilled the beans during the Thursday, December 23 episode of E!'s "Down in the DMs". Before she shared further details of the actor's message to her, she apologized for exposing him, saying, "I'm really sorry I'm going to expose you."

Admitting that she was "rude" for ignoring it, Olivia blamed it on Tom's opening line. She said the British thesp wrote, "Hello mate. Dig your work," followed by a snake emoji, which was likely a reference to his character Draco Malfoy's Hogwarts House of Slytherin. But she is not a fan of "Harry Potter", so she didn't get the reference.

"I haven't seen the 'Harry Potter' movies so I didn't get the joke," she explained. "I didn't respond and now I just exposed that I've seen it and I didn't respond so that's also rude of me. I think most people would probably understand and be excited by it."

Olivia realized she needs to catch up with the franchise. "I just need to watch more movies," she said, before stressing that she has nothing against Tom. "…but I think you're probably a really nice person," she added.

Olivia, who has 1.3 million followers on Instagram, also has sent some DMs to A-listers that have gone unanswered, including to "Dancing with the Stars" pro Derek Hough after she was eliminated in season 30 of the competition.

She also admitted that she is reading her DMs "way too often," up to four times per week. "It's so much easier to hold onto the negative," the "Conversations with Olivia Jade" podcast host shared of how social media comments affected her. "That's what's so hard about being on social media full-time. It can be hard. You could have a million positives and that one negative, you hold onto. It's crazy how the brain does that."

Following the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal that landed her parents in jail, Olivia has received numerous comments about it. Now when people used it to put her down, the 22-year-old said she tries to "find some humor in it," even though "it also kind of gives me PTSD." She added that she also tries not to "be robotic" in her responses.
