Of her dad's decision, Ysabel, who had been in pain for years due to scoliosis, shares in a new episode of the TV show, 'I think his priorities are a little screwed up.'

AceShowbiz - In a new episode of "Sister Wives", Christine Brown and Kody Brown's daughter Ysabel traveled to New Jersey for a back surgery alongside her mom. However, the Sunday, December 12 episode saw her dad Kody deciding to not accompany her to get surgery as she was in pain for years due to scoliosis.

Her dad's absence due to the coronavirus pandemic upset Ysabel. "I'm not going to the surgery," Kody said in a confessional. "I think it's risky. I'd also feel like a total hypocrite if I break the rules that I'm asking and begging everybody to keep." It wasn't a secret that the family has different views about how strict to be amidst COVID and Kody was known being the strictest of all.

Of her dad's decision, Ysabel shared, "I think his priorities are a little screwed up." She went on to say while crying, "I don't want to disrespect him because he's my dad and I understand. I do understand why he's doing it. But it's just really frustrating and really, really hard."

Ysabel revealed that she was "really hurt" that her dad wasn't there to be with her. "He's always talking about how family comes first, but when it comes down to it, I need him here," she revealed. "He's not putting his daughter above the fear of the pandemic."

As for Christine, who was still with Kody at the time of the surgery, she said, "I think she's going to have a really hard time being without Kody. She really relies on him when she's in pain."

Christine and Kody announced their split on November 2. "After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave," Christine wrote on Instagram. "We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family."

As for Kody, he wrote on his own account, "Christine's decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness." He went on to note, "We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents."
