AceShowbiz - Maya Vander is opening up about her heartbreaking miscarriage. Taking to her social media platform, the "Selling Sunset" star revealed that she suffered pregnancy loss at 38 weeks which left her devastated.
On Friday, December 10, the 39-year-old reality star made use of her Instagram account to share the heartbreaking news that she suffered a pregnancy loss with her third child on Thursday. "Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. I had a still birth at 38 weeks. I always heard of it but never imagined I'll be part of the statistics," she began.
"Instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone," Maya continued. "What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare that I never imagine will happen to me."
Maya went on to say, "Given I share my pregnancies in the show I knew I'll have to post about this and avoid the 'when is your due date' question." Maya, who shares 19-month-old daughter Elle and 2-year-old son Aiden with her husband, concluded her post, "You will always be in our heart baby Mason."
Maya first shared that she was expecting her third baby in July with a post on her Instagram page. At the time, the star of the real estate reality show posted a photo that saw her flaunting her growing baby bump.
Posing on a rooftop in front of the Miami skyline, Maya smiled in a curve-hugging dress as her husband protectively cradled her pregnant belly. "Here we go again... baby number 3 will be our Christmas/Chanukah present!" Maya wrote in the caption.
In October, Maya wrote on her Instagram page that she "can't express enough how grateful I am to be these babies mom" despite some people thinking she's "crazy" to have a third child. "Pregnancy is such an incredible experience, one I'd never take for granted. A woman's body can do incredible things. Soaking up every moment until baby #3 arrives," she penned alongside a maternity photo.
