AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian may be keeping her silence on Tristan Thompson's latest paternity drama, but it doesn't mean that she is unaware of the lawsuit launched by his alleged baby mama. According to a new report, the reality TV star knows her baby daddy has a third child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols.
A source tells PEOPLE the Good American founder "knows about the baby" that her on-/off-boyfriend has allegedly fathered from his affair with the Texas woman. As to how she reacted to it, the source dishes, "Khloe was upset to find out that he cheated again. She just can't believe that he is going to be a dad again."
Calling it "a sad situation to her," the so-called insider reveals that Khloe's friends had encouraged her "over and over again" not to take Tristan back, but she gave him another chance "because she always believed that he would change" and wanted to keep the family intact for True. "She is just a really great person and wants to see the positive in people," the source adds of the mother of one.
The source goes on spilling that the couple was "doing great" while they quarantined together during the COVID-19 lockdown, but deep down Khloe "knew things would change" as soon as he returned to the NBA. "She was just hopeful that he would stay faithful and loyal to her," says the source.
"Khloe's family always tried to support her," the source says of how Khloe's family treated Tristan following his multiple cheating allegations in the past. "They always treated Tristan well even after he broke Khloe's heart multiple times."
Tristan's alleged third child is known to the public after Maralee sued the NBA star for child support even before the baby was born. She reportedly gave birth to a baby boy last week.
In her lawsuit, Maralee claimed she conceived her baby with Tristan during his 30th birthday party in March, while he romantically reconciled with Khloe. While he did admit that they had sex, he maintained that it only happened that one night. She, however, says that the affair began at least five months before and continued even after she found out she was pregnant.
The documents also reveal that Tristan wanted no relationship with the baby and wanted Maralee to terminate her pregnancy. In text messages she submitted to court as evidence, he offered $75,000 to buy her silence, trying to convince her it was her best bet because he's retiring soon.
Khloe has not directly responded to the paternity drama, but after the news of Tristan's alleged third child broke, she shared a cryptic message on Instagram Story that read, "I just don't have time for negative energy and even when I do, I still don't."
Besides sharing 3-year-old daughter True with Khloe, the Canadian athlete has 5-year-old son Prince Oliver Thompson with his ex Jordan Craig.
