His fans jokingly say that he's injected with adamantium, the metal used for Wolverine's claws, after 'The Wolverine' star shares photos of him being shot with the vaccine.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman has received his COVID-19 vaccine booster. After showing off his bulging muscles when he was injected with the vaccine on social media, "The Wolverine" actor left his fans stunned.

On Sunday, December 5, the 53-year-old actor took to his Instagram account to share photos that saw him taking his vaccine booster shot. The pictures saw him flexing his huge bicep muscle while a medical health officer was injecting the vaccine. In the caption, he wrote, "Boosted! (Thank you Narmin)."

Hugh's post has since been flooded with mixed reactions from many. Some of his fans and followers were left stunned by his physique. "Nice biceps, Professor. [fire emoji]," one wrote. Another person chimed in, "How the needle didn't break? [flushed face emoji]."

Other fans jokingly said that Hugh was injected with adamantium, the fictional metal used for Wolverine's claws. "Adamantium injection," a fan penned while another asked, "Is adamantium?" A separate Instagram user added, "Wolverine is back [smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji]."

There were also some people who told the P.T. Barnum depicter in "The Greatest Showman" not to flex his muscles as it would make his arm sore. "Omg why are you flexing during the shot [face with tears of joy emoji]. Your arm is gonna be sore," one noted. Another social media user also said, "Don't flex. Makes the soreness worse. That was my mistake [face with tears of joy emoji]."

Hugh got his first COVID-19 vaccine in April. Having received his own jab, the Australian hunk urged others to get their own shots by making a reference to his Marvel Comics character Wolverine.

"Wolverine's healing ability can't save me from Covid," Hugh, who's suffering from basal cell carcinoma, captioned a series of pictures of him getting the injection. The actor portraying Nick Bannister in "Reminiscence" concluded his post as saying, "But the vaccine can. Get it!"
