Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock announce a plan to take a hiatus after completing their Confetti tour next year in order to 'recharge.'

AceShowbiz - Little Mix are taking a hiatus. Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have announced they are taking a break as soon as they complete their upcoming tour next year.

"We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix," the trio broke the news to their online devotees on Instagram.

They explained taking a timeout was needed for them to "recharge" and focus on their individual projects, "It's been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects."

"We can't thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much."

The girls insisted it's not the end of the band, "We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We've made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can't wait to make so many more."

"We're sisters and we'll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour!" so they concluded their post.

The hiatus plan came a year after Jesy Nelson left the group. "I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard," she said back then.

In August this year, she launched her solo debut single "Boyz" which sampled P. Diddy's hit "Bad Boys for Life" and featured Nicki Minaj. Unfortunately, it was marred by blackfishing accusations following the music video premiere.

Jesy vehemently denied the allegations. She has since felled out with her former bandmates. She, however, insisted she never instigated the feud, "We're not talking any more. It is sad but honestly there is no bad blood from my side, and I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best."
