AceShowbiz - Harry Nilsson's family are keen to give the late singer/songwriter a Hollywood ending, insisting his hard life would make a great movie.

The "Without You" singer's son Kiefo Nilsson, who was just eight years old when his dad suffered a heart attack and died in 1994, thinks his father's life story is fascinating - and he already has an actor in mind to lead the cast of a biopic.

"I'm not really at liberty to confirm or deny a movie, but my dad does have a very interesting life story," Kiefo says. "His life story, as is, is practically out of a movie. Over the years it has been talked about here and there."

And Kiefo already has one candidate of actor to portray his later father. "One time someone mentioned that Paul Dano looks like a young Harry Nilsson, and I agree. There's a really good likeness," he explains. "I'd like to be part of a film - maybe a member of the band, but I'm not an actor; I couldn't play Harry Nilsson, even though I know him so well. It's a life story that lends itself to a film narrative."

Harry was a friend to The Beatles and famously lived through some tough life events. He was previously the subject of a 2006 documentary, titled "Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him)?". The filmmakers re-edited the movie with lost footage of Nilsson, and released it in 2010.

As for Paul Dano, his notable acting credits include his roles in "L.I.E." (2002), "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006) and "There Will Be Blood" (2007). He has also landed a role as Edward Nashton / The Riddler in Matt Reeves' upcoming movie "The Batman".
