Karol G Takes a Painful Tumble on Stage During Miami Gig: 'Everything Hurts'

AceShowbiz - Karol G's perfomance in Miami took a painful turn, literally. The Colombian reggaeton star was performing for a massive headline show at the FTX Arena in the Florida city when she fell down set of stairs during the set on November 26.

In the footage of the performance, Karol and some background dancers were dancing on a set of stairs. When the singer was trying descend the stairs, she slipped which made her fall from the top of the stairs.

One of the dancers helped the "Tusa" singer get up before she told the sold-out crowd in Spanish, "If they saw how things happen to one in life. No matter what, they have to stop and they have to continue. All my nails broke, I think my knee broke. Everything hurts." She continued, "After having filled this arena for the first time in my lifeā€¦ I wanted it to be perfect."

The "Ahora Me Llama" singer, born Carolina Giraldo Navarro, has accomplished several milestones in her career. In addition to winning the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2018, the 30-year-old has been nominated for several Billboard Latin Music awards.

She also dominated the 2021 Premios Juventud Awards, taking home six gongs including the prestigious Artist of the Year, Female, prize. Other awards that she collected at that night were El Traffic Jam, La Coreo Mas Hot, Social Dance Challenge for "Bichota", El Mas Trendy and La Mas Pegajosa for "Ay, Dios Mio".

Earlier this year, Karol discussed working with Nicki Minaj and her acting aspirations in an interview with NME for an In Conversation video interview about her new album "KG0516". "One day I noticed that Nicki Minaj was following me on Instagram, and she started leaving comments on my pictures," she shared of the start of their collaboration.

Karol went on to say that she later sent the "Anaconda" hitmaker a message. "I was like, 'I admire you so much, you're a big inspiration for everybody, let's do a collaboration.' And I was surprised that she said yes!" she continued. "It's one of the most special collaborations of my life because it's so surprising."
