The 'Goosebumps' rapper is sued by John Hilgert's parents, Chris and Nicole, who say that they filed the suit 'to prevent this type of tragedy from ever happening again at a live concert.'

AceShowbiz - Travis Scott (II)'s legal woes continue to mount. The "SICKO MODE" spitter has received a new lawsuit filed by lawyer Richard Mithoff on behalf of the family of John Hilgert, the 14-year-old Astroworld victim, after the teenager's death.
In the legal documents, which sought upwards of $1 million for damages, John's parents, Chris Hilgert and Nicole Hilgert, named a long list of defendants. It includes the 30-year-old rapper, Live Nation Worldwide and its subsidiaries, Scoremore LLC and its subsidiaries, as well as other entities involved with production, promotion and security.
Following the documents filing, John's father Chris Hilger said in a statement, "The pain of our loss from our son John not making it home alive from an event such as this is intolerable." He added, "He was a beautiful young man who simply wanted to enjoy his first concert event with friends, whom he treasured spending time with more than anything else."
"This pain should never be felt by anyone over a loved one attending a live concert," Chris continued. "Our sole aim in filing this lawsuit is to prevent this type of tragedy from ever happening again at a live concert."
Chris went on to say that there's "no excuse" for the "poor crowd design, event execution and lack of response" that was exercised at the festival that resulted in the "tragic death of our son and nine others along with scores of other people that were innocently injured." He concluded, "If this lawsuit prevents even one family from having to go through the extreme pain and anguish that we have endured, then it's the least we can do to honor John's memory."
Numerous lawsuits have been filed against Travis, Drake, Apple Music, the event's promoter Live Nation and others involved. As for now, the "Goosebumps" rapper is reportedly facing hundreds of lawsuits that represent over 300 victims, seeking approximately $3 billion in damages.
Despite the billions worth of lawsuits, Travis recently made his first public appearance since the tragedy. Kylie Jenner's baby daddy was pictured at a Southern California golf course with Michael Jordan, Mark Wahlberg and other famous friends.
