The 'Run to You' singer is 'off to the hospital' after he was diagnosed with Covid-19, less than a month after he tested positive ahead of Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

AceShowbiz - Bryan Adams has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in a month.

The Canadian rocker had to sit out a planned Tina Turner tribute at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on 30 October (21) after he was diagnosed with the potentially deadly virus, and upon arrival in Milan, Italy - ahead of the unveiling of the 2022 Pirelli calendar that he photographed - he tested positive again.

He updated fans in an Instagram post on Thursday (25Nov21) that included photographs of himself in a room at Malpensa Airport and sitting in an ambulance, wearing a surgical mask.

"Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I've tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID," Adams wrote. "So it's off to the hospital for me."

Adams was expected to appear at a series of press events promoting the calendar on Sunday and Monday (28&29Nov21).

Bryan Adams was replaced by Keith Urban at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Last year during early pandemic, Adams faced backlash for blaming the global health crisis on "greedy bat eaters." He vented his frustrations after being forced to cancel a string of shows as the world went into lockdown.

He later apologized for his outbursts. "Apologies to any and all that took offence to my posting yesterday," he wrote. "No excuse, I just wanted to have a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet-markets being the possible source of the virus, and promote veganism."

"I have love for all people and my thoughts are with everyone dealing with this pandemic around the world."
