AceShowbiz - Adele felt compelled to add voice messages from her nine-year-old son to her hit new album "30", because they were a big part of the divorce "puzzle" after she decided to end her marriage to his dad.

Little Angelo's notes to his mum appear on the track "My Little Love", and the singer admits they helped her through her painful journey and deserve a place on the album.

"He'll probably go through stages of hating it when he's a teenager... but it was an important part of the puzzle I was trying to figure out of my life... so I had to include it," she said in an interview on Canadian show "Q with Tom Power", explaining she wanted to be "clear" with her son and let him know exactly how she was feeling.

"(I was) honest with him," she added. "Imagine hearing that as a six-year-old: 'What do you mean you don't know what you're doing?' "

"You panic, and your whole world would implode. I couldn't hide from him. He could see me even clearer if I tried to hide from him. It sorted out some of the clutter that was going on in my ability to talk about how I was feeling."

Adele previously explained her kid's voice emails helped her deal with the anxiety of divorce from his dad, charity boss Simon Konecki.

"If I started getting anxious about something I might or might not have said, I could just listen back to this and be like, 'OK, I'm fine,' " Adele told Rolling Stone. "He's a Libra, so he is, like, 'Chill. It's fine, mama. Just chill out.' "
