AceShowbiz - Kaia Gerber seemingly won't let her breakup from Jacob Elordi keep her from attending red carpet events. The model is reportedly in a "celebratory mood" as she stunned on the red carpet with her mom Cindy Crawford shortly after the news broke that she split from "The Kissing Booth" actor.
On Thursday, November 18, the 20-year-old model walked the red carpet with Cindy at the Omega San Francisco Grand Opening VIP Celebration which was held at the de Young Museum. For the special night, she turned heads in her elegant black dress from Celine while her mom wore a black-and-white striped dress by St. John.
"Kaia was in a celebratory mood as she was able to share this special moment with her mom and fellow OMEGA ambassador," an eyewitness told Us Weekly. The California native also "mingled" with other guests, including Nick Jonas and Antoni Porowski. Among the attendees was also Justin Hartley.
Earlier that day, a source confirmed to Page Six that she called it quits with Jacob after dating for a year. A separate insider said that their "schedules conflicted [and] they weren't spending much time together."
The source said that their split was "amicable" despite Kaia appearing to have deleted several photos of her ex-boyfriend from her Instagram account. However, they still follow each other on the photo-sharing platform.
The breakup news came less than two months after Kaia and Jacob made their romance red carpet official. On September 25, the catwalk beauty and the "Euphoria" actor arrived as a couple at the star-studded Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' opening gala in Los Angeles.
Kaia and Jacob had been linked since September 2020 after they were photographed having dinner together at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California. At that time, the 24-year-old actor was reportedly still in a relationship with Zendaya Coleman. The exes then made their love Instagram official on Halloween that year. The actor dressed as Elvis Presley, while the model went as his ex-wife Priscilla Presley.
