Rapper Young Dolph Dead After Being Gunned Down in Cookie Store

The 'On the River' rapper has passed away at the age of 36 after a gunman shot the hip-hop star while he was shopping in a local cookie store in Memphis, Tennessee.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Young Dolph has been shot and killed in Memphis, Tennessee.

A gunman opened fire outside a local cookie store on Wednesday (17Nov21).

Police officials investigating the scene claim the rap star was shot while he was shopping inside.

Dolph was previously targeted twice in 2017 - he was shot in the arms and buttocks outside a shoe store in Hollywood and his bullet-proof sports utility vehicle was showered with bullets during a shooting incident in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The latter incident resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for Blac Youngsta, who turned himself in. The charges against him were eventually dropped.

The 36 year old, famous for hits like "On the River", leaves behind a son and a daughter.

Megan Thee Stallion, who featured on Young Dolph's 2020 hit "RNB", is leading tributes, posting a photo on Instagram, and writing, "Everybody that know me knows I play this man music EVERY DAY! (sic) He was so genuine so real so kind to me... Rest in Peace to a real legend."

Migos stars Quavo and Offset also offered up their thoughts and condolences on social media.

Quavo writes, "D**N! This One Hurt," while his bandmate adds, "D**n R.I.P Dolph PRAYER FOR YA KIDS AND FAMILY SMH (shaking my head) (sic)."

There have also been tributes from Gucci Mane, Hit Boy, O'Shea Jackson, and Chance the Rapper, who writes, "God bless Dolph. Real independent Memphis rapper born in chicago. loved by millions of ppl (people). Always showed love everytime I seen him this is tragic God bless his family man (sic)."
